Hungarian low cost airline Wizz Air is now in bond with Gatwick airport and will be starting its first flight in the month of June.
The airline is starting the flights from June 18 and operates the daily flights from Sussex airport to Bucharest. This will be the first straight service among Gatwick and Romanian capital.
After the collaboration Gatwick will be the Wizz ninth UK airport that will offer the total of)76 routes from UK to other 14 countries. Wizz Airlines is already serving the passengers between Luton and Bucharest three times a day.
The chief corporate officer Owain Jones said: “With our new Gatwick service that is starting in month of June, we propose four flights in a day between London and Bucharest. We are the only airline who is going to provide the direct service to Bucharest daily from the both north and south of London.”
The chief commercial officer Guy Stephenson added: “We are glad to welcome Wizz Air to Gatwick as they instigate the only nonstop connection from the airport to the Romanian capital, Bucharest.
“The everyday flights will be smooth and attractive for the passengers travelling on both leisure and those flying on business who may be taking benefit of Romania’s constant economic growth.”
